The 2008 National Defense Authorization Act
It all started on May 25, 2012, when President Obama proclaimed the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration (made possible by the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act) would extend from Memorial Day 2012 through Veterans Day 2025.
Since then, Commemorative Partners and many other regions and municipalities have joined in the 13 year celebration of the veterans, POWs and MIAs of the Vietnam War. Heroes Homecoming felt the need to thank these veterans again too. In 2011, the inaugural Heroes Homecoming paid tribute to them and now, in 2017, we want to take that tribute one step further.
Stay tuned for details and the addition of more events & activities designed to honor all Vietnam Veterans and their families.
